The Opportunity:
Drive data-driven impact within our Recruiting and People Analytics functions. As our Lead Data Analyst, you will be both a hands-on contributor and a leader, instrumental in shaping our approach to talent analytics, guiding cross-functional initiatives, and directly influencing Senior Leadership. This is an opportunity to optimize strategic recruiting investments and advance our understanding of talent through insightful analytics and innovative solutions.

Your Role:
As our Lead Analyst (Working Leader), you will:

  • Lead by Example: Personally innovate and implement data workflows, automations, and forecasting models to optimize the hiring pipeline and inform strategic recruiting investments.
  • Develop and Mentor: Guide and potentially mentor other analysts, fostering a data-driven culture within the People and Recruiting teams.
  • Develop sophisticated predictive models for key talent metrics including veterinarian retention, attrition, growth, and development, providing critical insights for business planning.
  • Spearhead cross-functional teams to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure that supports scalable and forward-thinking people analytics initiatives within the veterinary industry.
  • Collaborate closely with Recruiting and HR leadership to define analytical priorities, develop impactful data solutions, and present compelling, data-backed recommendations to Senior Leadership.
  • Utilize your expertise in platforms such as Power BI, DAX Studio, R, and our Research Database to extract, analyze, and visualize high-value data.
  • Drive the implementation and enhancement of technical systems that enable efficient data tracking and the generation of actionable insights.

Your Profile:
You are a highly motivated and entrepreneurial working leader with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results both independently and through influence. You are passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and thrive in leading impactful initiatives while remaining hands-on with the data. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret data and translate findings into strategic recommendations, and the confidence to effectively engage with Senior Leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, or Information Science (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in data analytics, ideally within fast-paced sectors such as technology, healthcare, or retail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to interpret data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Proven ability to both execute independently and guide/influence others.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and consistently achieve impactful outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with VBA, SQL, R, or similar programming languages is a strong asset.
