Lead the Site Reliability Engineering team responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of all production assets. Oversee deployments, upgrades, maintenance, and team workload, ensuring uptime, performance, and compliance. Prioritize, organize, and lead the team to deliver quality products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor SRE team, setting goals and providing feedback.
- Manage production asset lifecycle (batching, upgrades, deployments).
- Organize team workload using agile practices.
- Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and security.
- Collaborate with Engineering Leads for alignment.
- Maintain business continuity and ensure compliance.
- Manage on-call rotations and incident resolution.
- Handle budget for hosting and software licensing.
- Provide reports on system availability, response, and capacity.
- Act as technical escalation point for the team.
- Manage headcount and staffing decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years managing globally distributed teams.
- 3-5 years in a Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong foundation in Linux, Web Servers, Virtualization, Cloud Platforms, Containerization, and Caching technologies.
- Demonstrated scripting experience in languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash.
- Strong security mindset and experience implementing controls.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with automation and infrastructure tooling.
- Familiarity with SOC, PCI, GDPR standards.
- Experience with issue tracking systems.
- Experience with Java, PHP, or Node applications.
- Experience automating repetitive tasks.
