Our partner in Birmingham, AL is searching for an Equipment Finance Manager to serve as the liaison between the outside sales force and the various financial lenders used that support the equipment industry by securing competitive finance and/or lease rates to help win heavy equipment retail sales deals.  Much of the sales transactions are financed or leased through a third party equipment lender. This role’s purpose is to pursue the most competitive rates offered within the industry so that our client will continue to earn the business of their valued customers. Responsibilities:

  • The main point of contact for any equipment finance related matters pertaining to the company, as well as externally with our preferred lenders and customers.
  • Processing all finance and lease quote requests submitted from the company’s outside sales team in a timely and accurate manner. This will include obtaining all necessary information and documentation from the salesmen and/or customer in order to comply with lender requirements.
  • Negotiating and securing the best rates possible with our preferred lenders to help win/close deals.
  • Processing, preparing, issuing, and explaining all approved finance documents directly to the salesmen and/or customer as necessary. This includes keeping track of all outstanding finance/lease documents that have yet to be returned to the lender for funding. This also includes a thorough review of all customer completed finance/lease documents to ensure accuracy prior to final submission to the lender.
  • Meeting with customers in person or virtually, when necessary, in order to assist in obtaining complete and signed finance documents.
  • Maintaining all existing relationships with preferred lenders, as well as establishing relationships with new lenders as/when necessary.
  • Processing and filing all necessary title work for titled vehicle sales when applicable.
  • Ordering insurance certificates for all approved finance deals.
  • Generating and processing Equipment Sales Agreements on finance and lease deals units that are ready to proceed to the final invoicing stage to end customers. This includes reviewing tax codes/charges to ensure Cowin is properly accounting for all applicable tax charges.
Required Qualifications:
  • The Minimum four-year college degree.
  • Two to three years work experience preferred.
  • Finance related work experience a plus.
  • Personable, good communication and organizational skills while maintaining the ability to multi-task with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
